My 8yr daughter wants to have her party at the lake. We live in ga were the temp is around 98 in July. What can we do about a cake? We know that we can't take one...We tried that once before and it melted. Do you have any suggestions? I thought about a cookie but thought it would get to soft too....

Homemade apple, cherry or blueberry pies!!

And homemade icecream if you have an icecream maker or can borrow one..and all kinds of toppings for the girls to create their own "Pie Sundaes!!!!!!!

And lots of ice cold pink lemonade to go with it!!!

I never used an ice cream maker.... does It needs electricity? there is none there. Or am I able to make the cream at home and the maker will keep it frozen. we are a little over an hour from the lake and will be going early to reserve a place. I am afraid that if I put cream in the cooler it will just get to soft.

Do you think brownies would servive the trip too. I have thought about that. But I am afraid the chocolate would melt. Pie does sound good. Maybe I could get a couple of those canned whipped toppings and some spinkles. Let them decorate their own pies... jenni

Brownies sound good and I bet they could be pre-cut, placed in baggies and placed in your cooler!

Pink lemonade sounds really good too!
