Messiest Party Ever!

Okay, I know I'm a crazy mom, BUT for my daughter's upcoming 11th birthday party, we are having a "Messiest Party Ever" theme. I figure they are only this young once, and as long as it's in the back yard, I'm fine with it!

We are doing things like having areas for the kids to make their own goo.

Another to make toothpaste putty.

A game where you put gummy worms in whipped cream on a plate. The kids race to get the gummy worms out of the whipped cream and into a coke bottle with their hands behind their back.

They are also doing a few science experiments like putting water in a bowl, then adding pepper. When you add just a drop of dish soap, the pepper shoots for the outside of the bowl really fast. If you put milk in a bowl, put one drop of food coloring, and then add a drop of dish soap, it makes neat swirls and designs.

We're going to set up the sprinkler and have water balloons.

For a favor, I'm going to the mens section at walmart(or wherever) and getting the 3 packs of hanes white t-shirts. I'm going to give each kid a shirt to wear during the party and the one with the messiest shirt at the end wins.

Keep in mind all these kids are older(10, 11, and 12) so these ideas would be okay(like with the pepper) But can you come up with any other MESSY ideas? And I need to come up with a cake idea. I was thinking of just making a tiered cake, making it lop-sided and each tier a different bright color like lime green and coral, etc.

Please help me ladies. The party is in June.

As for a "messy cake", you could "decorate" it with crushed Oreo's to make it look like you got it out of the trash!! Or have cupcakes or brownies and let them decorate with Oreo dirt and gummy worms, etc...

Do you have a "dress theme".....like telling them to come to the party in their dirtiest, ugliest clothes!!

Egg toss is always fun and messy!! Feeding chocolate pudding to each other with each being blindfolded!! It's a team race to see which two finish all their pudding first!! Chocolate is definitely the messiest!!!!
