New Zealand medical researchers are calling for new laws to ban smoking in vehicles where children are passengers.
Evidence proves second-hand smoke causes respiratory illnesses in children whose lungs are still developing. Particulate, or tiny airborne particles that can enter the lungs, can be trapped within a car and have been associated with negative health effects in air pollution studies. [
