Question Pre-K Graduation Gifts?

My baby (Quincy) will be graduating from pre-school next month, along with a few of my nieces and nephews. Does anyone have any ideas of what type of celebration and/or gifts are good for this occasion?

I have always liked giving preschoolers educational things, such as preschool workbooks, crayons, markers, etc. (in a pencil box), and story books. I am a preschool teacher, and most of the kids I teach enjoy this. That way you are also encouraging learning. If you have more money and the kids have the peripheral equipment, you can buy "read-with-me" books with Cds/cassettes or computer learning games.

Hope this helps!

We had sloppy joes and chips for supper when Victor graduated from preschool. We also had a cake that said so long preschool, Kindergarten here I come. He was also given his towel for rest time in Kindergarten that had a school house and his name embroidered on it. The towel was of course his favorite color and he used it for his bath towel until school started again in the fall. I was a complete wreck when we got home from his graduation becasue right at the end they played "Child of Mine". My mother-in-law and I blubbered all the way home. It was such a fun night for him and the cake a presents really made him feel special.

I agree! Educational things are great presents. I am an early childhood education major, and while the present may be educational the child does not think of it that way. Some ideas would be story books, blocks-they enhance fine motor skills, educational games, musical instruments, and the kiddy lap-tops.
