Turkey Tetrazzini

This recipe was orginally posted in Feb 2011 What's for Dinner thread by Happymomof4.

Turkey Tetrazzini

1 package (7 ounces) spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
2 cups cubed cooked turkey
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cans (4 ounces each) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 jar (2 ounces) chopped pimientos, drained
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Additional shredded cheddar cheese, optional

Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl; add the next 10 ingredients and mix well. Spoon into a greased 2-1/2-qt. casserole; sprinkle with cheese if desired. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 40-45 minutes or until heated through.Makes6-8 servings.

Minny has given this recipe a blue ribbon.

Congrats Charlotte!! This is just the kind of dish we like and I will be making it.

Thank you Minny for being a recipe tester and testing this recipe.

Thumbs up

I substituted cooked noodles for the spaghetti because I didn't have the spaghetti & I omitted the sliced mushrooms since I don't care for them, but for those that like them they should be added. I thought the mushroom soup had enough mushroom taste for me. It was good. I would make it again.

Congrats Charlotte!! Thanks for posting the recipe.
Thanks Sharon for the opportunity to test this recipe.

This recipe makes alot. I love the leftovers for lunch the next day.

Bilby I have used chicken before also. It turns out great.

Minny I have used cream of celery soup instead of the cream of mushroom soup before. It turned out well.

Charlotte, I thought about adding the cream of celery soup, but wanted to get as close to your recipe as I could. I'll try the celery soup next time.
