Wedding Mints

Wedding Mints

Ingredients
1 8 ounce package of cream cheese
1 2 lb package of powdered sugar
10 drops of peppermint
Food coloring of your choice
Granulated sugar

Mix the ingredients together, except for the granulated sugar. If you want more than 1 color, divide dough into multiple parts before adding food coloring. It will be dry dough. Take some candy molds in the desired shape, like flowers, hearts, and so on. Grab a pinch of the dough, dip it in granulated sugar so mints won't stick to molds and press in molds. Pop them out and place in serving dish. Keep refrigerated.

Cat lover has awarded a blue ribbon to this recipe.

Congrats DeBora!! Sounds like a good mint for Christmas or after dinner mint also.

Thank you cat lover for being a recipe tester and testing this recipe.

I've made these using the powdered frosting mix.

I didn't make any substitutions to the recipe.
The instructions were easy to follow except the amount of drops of food color might have been useful; I just "dropped" and stirred till I got the color I liked.
My DH and I both enjoyed the Wedding Mints, but a suggestion was given to me to try using "butter" flavor next time instead of peppermint for a "butter mint".

My mom use to make these for weddings and receptions.

I may try these out for son's graduation party. Thanks for the reminder.

You could even make them in egg shapes for Easter. LOL!!!!!
