Question Microsoft Money 2001

Hi, is anyone working the MS money 2001? I started this week setting up the program. I am certain I have my cc's recorded correctly. My mortage though, I am uncertain about. I think I have it in the wrong catagory. It shows up as cc debt. I am very interested in doing this right. lol....Any advice would be greatly appriecated.

It's been a long time since I used it...

Potter I used to use ms money but now I use quickbooks..... . Did you set your mortgage up as a separate account? Gosh I wish I could picture it in my head better....! Sorry. Does microsoft have a troubleshooting support thing? I would try www.microsoft.com if I were you and look there if you can't find the help you need in the instructions.

I am using MSN Money 2001 and I think it's very difficult! I'm sure I don't have everything set up right either!

Hello-

When Money first came out I tried it but never liked it.

I actually like doing it all by hand. For some reason I am uncomfortable using thise money like products.

But this is only my 2 cents

For the most part I love it....i love keeping my checkbook and I like the way it tracks my spending, but some of my accts are not set up right so it doesn't always keep an accurate balance. Yes I used the wizard for the most part. Do you think it would work if you deleted everything and started over? I'm not so sure about doing that.

chuckle

At this point I don't think it would hurt. lol. I don't have enough info in there to really be losing anything. The other day I recorded a payment I made on a cc and it added instead of subtracting. Obviously, I have made a mess of it. I am really excited about using it still! After 2 years of struggling due to illness, I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I want to use it as a tool to plan my fiancial future, now that I have one again. I did'nt use the wizard because I don't have a checking acct. Strictly, cash or money order. I recieved a substantial raise today so a checking acct may be next. Savings acct. definitely. I need to ask dd about deleting and reloading. Shes my personal wiz I'll let ya know how that goes. Also, the challenge of learning to use it would be an accomplishment for me to work towards.
