First Best and Only, Twilight Whispers and A Woman's Place are 3 that I have here to read Sammi by Barbara Delinsky. I read something by her some years back and liked her on the spot. 2 of these books are hard backs which is hard for me to hold up is one reason I have not read them yet but just got the other one. But I will get them all read God willing

I think my favorite Barbara Delinsky novel was Shades of Grace. That was the first book I read and then I got hooked. She is the only romance novelist I read.

That one does not ring a bell will have to TRY to remember that name. Who knows I might find it at Ollie's tomorrow when Stacie and I go to check out their books

I just started a new book from Ann Brashares (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) called 3 Willows. It is about 3 girls who become friends in 3rd grade after they all are not picked up from school one day. The books begins at the end of their 8th grade year and as happens quite often they have grown apart. They each set out for seperate adventures during the summer. That is as far as I have gotten so I will have to see where it goes from here.
I just came home from a library workshop dealing with the best of Young Adult books from 2008, so I may have some more of that type of reading to do for a while.
Joy is that a Young Adult book or an adult book? I read an adult book by Brasheares last year (can't remember the title offhand) and I remember thinking, she should stick to teen books! It was just NOT that great. The librarian agreed with me when she asked me how I liked it.
I am pretty sure it meant to be a YA book but it is cataloged as adult fiction. Many of the YA / Teen books are cataloged that way, but definately written for that reader.
This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
Members will be allowed to submit one story pertaining to a Halloween story and one story pertaining to an autumn story. Please click here to enter!
