Honey Sesame Chicken
1 ½ lbs boneless skinless chicken cut in chunks (I season mine with 5spice)
Batter-
4 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup water
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 egg white
1tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, 5spice powder sesame oil
Mix batter in a large bowl, dump chicken into it while you wait for oil to heat up fry until crisp...
SAUCE:
Sauce-
1 ½ tablespoons sesame oil (Regular oil is OK too)
2 teaspoon ginger (minced) (powdered worked)
3 tablespoons garlic (minced) (yup...powdered)
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
½ cup water
Bring to a boil..lower to a simmer add 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed into 1 teaspoon water..to thicken up
Toasted Sesame seeds for garnish Serve over white rice (I put a bay leaf in mine gives it a nutty flavor)
