In need of ideas for a WALL-E party for 4-year old?

I am planning on doing a WALL-E birthday party theme for my 4-year old grandson. Any cost effective ideas? We are just going to have food and cake. We'll let the 2, maybe 3 kids play with the toys they get once the toys they are opened.

I was thinking if you have time to save up toilet paper & paper towel tubes (cut them to size) and paper grocery bags you could let the kids make their own Wall-E. Would probably need glue dots as glue would take to long to dry but you could use other things from the recycle bin to make the robots.

I think it would be a cute and cheap craft for them to do and if you are giving goodies for the kids to take home they could use their robot bag.

We went to order the WALL-E cake and DGS changed his mind and wants a Bolt cake. So now I am in need of ideas for a Bolt the dog cake.

Whoa that's kind of hard to find. I saw this feature in cable tv that there is a special cake thathas a laminated picture as the design. The picture is edible and I love to try it for my Kimi's birthday party.

Here is a link for some plates, napkins...etc for Bolt.

You could save a lot of money by going to a Dollar Tree and buying coordinating colored plates in red, blue or purple.

You could make homemade dog collar w/tags invitations or favors out of foam sheets. Cut out a circle for the dog tag and add a picture of the BD boy inside the circle. The kids could wear them during the party.

Serve "dog bone" cookies. If you can find cheap dog bowls, either serve ice cream in them or use them as serving bowls to hold food. Make "puppy chow"

For games:

Pin the bone in the dog bowl or Pin the dog tag on the dog.

Have a dog bone toss to see who can throw them the farthest.

Toss the dog bones through the hoop or tire. (something hanging).

Toss dog bones to see who can knock down stacked up cans. (Could label to say "dog food").

"Dog" relay races - have the kids get down on "all fours" to run. You could set up an obstacle course for this if you have the space.

Sounds like a fun party.

NOW you tell me! LOL The party was June 29th. We all had a great time. No telling what the little man wants next year. His sister's birthday is next month. She says she's wanting a 7 princesses party, but she may change her mind. I'll ask her and then post something about that.
