Cowboy Coffee

6 tsp instant coffee
5 cups milk
1 whole nutmeg, grated fine
1 oz milk chocolate
6 tsp brown sugar
6 tsp brandy

In a saucepan whisk together the coffee, milk, nutmeg, chocolate, and sugar till heated through. When the chocolate is melted add the brandy and mix. Garnish with a large scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice cream. This can also be served over ice minus the ice cream topping.

Any idea how many servings this would make? It sure does sound good but I would need to try to break everything down to 1-2 servings because I'm the only one who would be drinking it. Over ice sounds really good.

This makes a good 5 -6 servings if you drink a normal cup of joe! lol I'm a BIG coffee drinker and my usual coffee mug is huge! lol So for me this goes quick! lol

If you can't get a little bottle... I have a homemade cough/sore throat syrup recipe that uses brandy and ainse seed that works!

I would love that recipe! I HATE cough syrup because of the taste. I love anise so I'd be willing to try it. If it doesn't work, drinking the rest of the bottle of brandy would have to fix something. ROFL!!!

Got the book out it is in and it actually is listed under Sore Throat Soother, but we always used it for coughs due to colds as well as the sore throat! Guess it was the brandy! lol

Measure out 2 tbsp of aniseed into a small saucepan and add 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes; cool. Pour into a clean pint jar through a funnel lined with a clean coffee filter. Add 1/4 cup of honey and 1 tbsp of brandy; stir to mix well. Take 1 tbsp of this mixture every 3 hours.
