Well everyday has been a series of junkfests and grilling. My older brother and his wife are up visiting so that gave us a great excuse to eat fattening salads and meats. Plus there's a pack of cookies around that beckon me daily. What a breakfast of champions. I must go back to my oatmeal with raisins and walnuts. It was much more satisfying anyway.

I bought a pedometer for under $5 at Walmart. The first day I discovered I'd only walked around 5000 steps. The second day (yesterday) I did 12415. I hope to top that today. But won't if I keep sitting here!

Okay, getting the focus off of food. It seems the more I think about it the worse I do. So my focus will be # of steps on pedometer per day. I'm aiming for a minimum of 10,000.

This is awful. But (oh no, here come the excuse) family is together and we eat, eat, eat. We've been grilling and eating at each other's homes...

Breakfast-1/2c Life cereal with 1/3c skim milk
Lunch-1/2c macaroni&cheese,squirt ketchup, 1/8-1/4c salmon
Supper-1 (8oz?)piece beef chuck steak, 1 ear corn on the cob with smudge of butter and salt, 1c homemade fettucine alfredo, 4-6 potato chips, 1 orange wine cooler
Dessert-1c chocolate pudding with crushed cookies and cool whip
Snack-3 pineapple/orange sandwich cookies, 1 mug hot chocolate

Yikes! Evenings are the worst for me. I'm noticing a pattern here... fat, starch, sugar, fat, starch, sugar...

Last several days, I've averaged around 7500-8000 steps. Better kick it up a notch.

Going to try a chocolate low carb shake for breakfast for a few mornings and see if I notice any difference.

Last couple days I've averaged 10,000. A little over, a little under. I'll have to keep better record.
I wanted to note that I started a starch blocker that contains Phase 2 (as seen in Woman's World) yesterday. I only took it once, though I should be taking it 2-3 times a day. My memory is awful, can never remember to take pills.

Spent too much time in the car again. I swear I live in it sometimes.

Thinking about trying the low-carb diet again. But I want to do it low-fat also this time. That doesn't even sound good at all. Yuck.
