Do you take time out of the day just for you?

I do take time to myself!

It may be just watching TV, or reading, or taking care of me - self made manicure, pedicure... - cuddling with my cat...

I do believe that "when mom aint happy no one's happy", and if you dont take time to please yourself, everyone in your family pays the bill.

It might sound selfish, but when I put myself first, I give so much more to everybody !!!!

If you can, go ahead and try it !

I have stated this in another forum but I do my best to hit the streets at 7am for a 20-30 min jaunt. Then I come home, make coffee, go back out with java in hand and water. Its great being alone for that hour before I start work and caregiving. (and its nice to not have to hear a machine running!!!). I dont take an ipod or other "sound" making device with me. Its just me and the birds....

I have gotten back into getting some "me" time... I went a long time and rushed around for everyone and always was a neat freak so my kids all say so now I will do some things each day to satisfy me and found it really helps me to unwind! (I will clean the house at my own pace...)

Yes I do. I take out time for myself like others here, many people think if they keep pushing themselves non-stop mentally/physically then it will lead to better and quicker results. In the long term, this is usually the complete opposite.

Amen. It is so important. Even if you just take a walk around the block. Go sit on the front porch w/ no one yapping at you for five minutes. It does a world of good.
