I get up very early each day and do what has to be done in the house. The reat of the morning usually is the time I do what ever I want.......Of course laundry is an all day everyday chore....

Sometimes it might only be a few minutes on the computer or reading before I go to sleep, but ,yes, I do try to take at least 15 - 30 minutes each day. Some days I walk after lunch at work for about 10 minutes.
I get up a good 1/2 hor to 45 mins before I start waking the girls. While my bath water runs (I love a bath in the am, helps unkink the aches) I check my email and eat breakfast. I try to have my hair done, dressed and make up on before I get the girls up and moving other than dd1 who is 15 and needs to spend 1/2 hour on make up alone. It's important or I feel frazzled and not in control of my day.
Lisa, Tara, Raspberry, what time do your kids get up and start the day? I am not a morning person at all. Our kids have to be out by 7:35am ~ too early for my liking!
megrayau my children are all grown. I have custody of my oldest grandson and he is 14. We get up at 6 to catch the bus at around 7. I have to be a morning person because with lupus I tire very easy. If I don't get it done in the morning it will have to wait till another. time.
Good morning all, right now I am having some ME time. Judy is across the street so nice and quiet here right now. So am playing on puter, deciding what will be for supper.

Good Morning Patti I have been a member for a while just don't post much. Glad you are having some quiet me time. Trying to work out supper time also. Have a blessed day everyone!
I try to carve some "me" time out my days, and that's been easier since my DH and I are empty-nesters. I usually read a book on my lunch hour at work and am able to either cross stitch or read a magazine after dinner while watching tv with DH.
I recently got a new full-time job and I find that I have very little time left after even just trying to keep on top of the basic chores. I'm really glad DH is pretty good about participating in keeping the household chores done, too.
In my former life, I worked 4 days per week, and was usually able to take a part of my day off to do something for myself.
If I don't take time for me each day I would go insane. LOL... so yes I do take some time out each day for myself..
Plus if I don't my husband gets upset with me, I am married to a wonderful, understanding husband that does understand how important it is for me to take me time.
sure am glad.
