My goal for 2009 is to get much more organized with grocery shopping. I printed out inventory lists from www.cindysporch.com yesterday for freezer, fridge and pantry. You can also print out a calendar page for meal prep, but I can do that on regular paper for a week at a time. With the cost of food going up, I really need to get better at using everything up and not wasting anything.

Wow Sharon & Patti.. you both are more organized than I am. I check the freezer about once a month , but usually things don't stay in there long enough to make a list. Walmart & Aldi's is only 5 mins away, so if we need something we just go get it. I do make a grocery list of things I definitely have to buy, but usually end up with extra things that I really didn't have to have right away.

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S Everyone
Kathy, thanks for the web site. Will go there after e-mails. I inventory panty's (3) freezer's and frig, but I'm not happy with it.
I went to the Navy Commissary (grocery store), bought 2 weeks of groceries. Came home, put it away I cleaned as I went. I ended up giving the kitchen a good cleaning.
While I did that dh & dd packed up the Christmas stuff. I need ds 2&3 to put it in the attic. Dgd took the tree down yesterday, and packed up everything. Dh & dd all the outside lights yesterday.
Tomorrow morning, will cleanliving room & dining room. I think this is my winter cleaning.
Dh & dd earned afternoon of football. Ds's & dil over for dinner of blackeyed peas & ham bits (Southern New Years good luck, the more peas you eat, the more good luck you have in the New Year.
As for me? I will lay-sit and rest. Hope all of you do the same. Bye!

I had my herring today. I will be taking the tree down this weekend. I want to clean out the kitchen cupboards and re-organize them.
