Question Food TV, who's your favourite?

Since we have been switched to Food TV Canada, I miss all the old Food TV shows. I was wondering who is your favourite or what is your favourite show and why. Every now and then I go onto the American site and am bowled over by how many shows there are. I have no idea where I should go. Help me out?

We just love Food Network. My husband likes Giada de Laurentiis' shows. His favorite non-American cuisine is probably Italian, and she makes a lot of Italian things in a very simple way. Everything we've made from her show has been really good. I like Tyler Florence's Food 911 pretty well, and his cookbooks are good. My kids just love the Iron Chef shows and Ace of Cakes, which is about a Baltimore baker named Duff something who bakes these craaaazy cakes.

There just really isn't a show on that network that we don't like.

I had forgotten about 911! We used to watch that all the time and always learned something new. What about Ready Set Cook, is it still on?

My DH likes her too, but I don't think he's observing the food! LOL

I personally like Emeril, Paul Deen, and Alton Brown's Good Eats, when I am home to watch them.

We like this show too!

I also watch 30 minute meals, Semi Homemade and Guy Fierri's (sp?) show. It depends on what each show is cooking. lol!

I am really addicted to the Food Network I really like Alton Brown the most. He shows you everything you need to know and why and is funny. I used to love Emeril but latley he does more explaining than cooking. My husband loves Rachel Ray he say's she cracks herself up.

My favorite food network shows are any Rachael Ray shows, from 30 minute meals to her Tasty Travels. I also enjoy Ace of Cakes and Guy's show Diners, Drive ins and Dives.

Mark is in love with Rachel Ray!

I like watching Paula Deen, she just cracks me up!

I used to like Sandra Lee, and though I still do like her cookbooks, her show was starting to be to fake with all the tablescapes and matching kitchens and outfits.
Barefoot Contessa........ fake too, but for different reasons. She is just way, way too uppity for me.

hugs, train

Donna, I don't like Sandra Lee for the same reason. Something about her is so fake. She does like to make creative stuff with matching colors and such. But, who has time to do all that? I don't like Guy's shows for the very same reason. It may be because I saw him during the Next Network Star and he really dogged his competitors. It really rubbed me wrong. Ina Garden of Barefoot, it okay with me. I know she is uppity and has uppity friends, but I think a lot has to do with her lifestyle rather than her trying to impress the audtience. That is just my impression. It sounds like we all have our likes and like to dislikes. lol
