I LOVE Dinner Impossible! Maybe after Wednesday evening, I will have more time to watch--at least until school starts again in mid-January.

I enjoy watching Paula Deen's regular show (not the party one). I also like Rachael Ray and Quick Fix Meals. Alton Brown is great and I learn a lot from watching his shows, but I rarely get to see them (just not on at the right time).

I do not care for Giada or Sara Moulton.

Ace of Cakes is a fun show. I can't believe the cakes they make! What talent!

I love watching Rachel Ray! Her recipes are so easy and so fast to make. That's great for me because I leave early in the mornings for work and by the time I get home it's very close to dinner time.
I love Paula Deen too but her food is so heavy! It's total comfort food. Stuff I'd probably cook on weekends and eat in my jammies
I also like Giada's Everyday Italian and Sandra Lee's Semi Homemade. I just take their recipes though I've made more of Sandra's stuff than Giada's because of the whole semi homemade thing. But for the pasta recipes, it's mostly Giada
The whole tablescape and whatnot that Sandra does, it's all gorgeous but it's good for parties or special occassions but not everyday meals.
I like watching Barefoot Contessa but I don't use much of her recipes. Her cooking can be too "french" for me at times though some of it is quite good. Just don't have the time to cook for that long though
But I do use her baking recipes. Her baking recipes are gold So are Sandra's 'cause they are so easy to make.
Ummm...apart from that I've started watching Healthy Eating with Ellie Krieger and I must say I like it! My family's big on eating healthy so her recipes give a nice healthy twist on favorites like cupcakes, cookies, and brownies.
I started watching that new show on Saturdays called Simply Delicioso but I don't know...she's very bubbly but her recipes are too Carribean for me

I love Paula Deen and Barefoot Contessa. I actually found some gift baskets designed by them! Unfortunately, thats as close as I'll get to there cooking bc i can never seen to recreate their recipes to taste or look as good as they do on tv!

Flutterby, I mostly use these shows to get ideas. Then I veer off in my own direction! If I'm not baking, I almost never follow a recipe "to the letter."

I really like:

Drive In's-Diners and Dives ( hubby does too and we even have tried to recreate a few dishes)

Ace of Cakes... that is AWSOME

Paula Deen is a great show, down to earth and really funny

Dinner Impossible, depending

I should probably check out Rachael Ray...
I guess I thought she was one of the uppity ones too...
Thanks to you guys I am gonna check her out!

Me too! I'll always add some of my own "secret" ingredients to spice up the dish. And it never fails

Yeah I know what you mean - I'm notorious for making up something, anything with random ingredients in my fridge. But, every once in awhile I like to get new inspiration with videos or new online recipes.

Has anyone seen the Iron Chef America in which Paula Deen and Cat Cora battle against Robert from Dinner: Impossible and Tyler Florence in the holiday dessert battle??? I had it on last night and fell asleep during the broadcast, and when I woke up the show was already over! I don't know who won!
