Trying one new fruit or vegetable a week -- Anyone up for the challenge with me?

I have to admit that I have fallen into a rut and haven't tried anything new in a long time.

I am going to put myself to a challenge to try at least one new veggie or fruit a week, for 2 months.

Anyone want to take this challenge with me?

Once a week (or more) we can post what new veggie or fruit that we are going to try and how we are going to cook it, what it tastes like, if we like it...etc.

We don't all have to try the same thing, just choose something that would be new to you and your family.

I'll post what I buy as soon as I hit the store this week.

Tami sounds interesting.....I am not sure I could do it though as there are not many I have not tried...I like pretty much anything. If I can think of a new one though I will jump on

My pick for this week is the Daikon Radish.

So far, I've sliced it into matchstick pieces and nibbled on it that way. There's not a lot of flavor in it. I think that I like regular red radishes better because they tend to be hot.

I think that it would ok in a salad for the 'crunch' factor. I'm going to try to stir fry it, too.

Tami I worked in a chinese grocery store so had opportunity to try many of the veggies we don't find in most grocery stores. I don't mind this veggie I just don't have access to it here in the valley...not alot of variety have to go to the cities to get that.
