I have to be in the mood for chai tea myself.lol There are so many different kinds and flavors to choose from, that if you don't care for one just try another.
A lot of the herbal teas can also be used for medicinal purposes. Mint tea helps sooth sore throats, decongest, and settle stomach aches. Ginger is also for upset stomachs digestion, and great when paired with peach or lemon. Chamomile is calming and relaxing.
I also learned if you use loose tea and re-use the tea grounds you have decaf. The tea is also weaker the second "flush".
There is a lot more to a cup of tea than I first thought after reading this book! So many kinds and blends, and the different processes for each one!

Vivian, That sounds like an interesting book with lots of info on teas.

I went to an "English Tea" done by my pastor's wife who is from England originally. She said they put the milk and sugar in before pouring the tea in. Most of us Americans either did it backwards or didn't put milk and sugar in it at all. I did love the cucumber sandwiches though.

Apricot, the English tea sounds like it was fun. I will have to try putting the milk and sugar in first.

Sometimes I use honey in my tea, sometimes lemon, and sometimes both or just sugar and a bit of milk. I also like chai tea. For Christmas gifts I sometimes make a Russian tea mix (also called Spiced tea) to give to friends and relatives. It is especially good when you have a cold.

I use to always drink my tea with milk/sugar and put it in after tea was in cup. Now I generally drink with just sugar

Sammi, The English Tea Party was fun and interesting. I've been to one other one that was in a backyard and had the tables all decked out with various china that they had gotten from different people. They each had different opinions on how it got started originally though. Guess it depends what part of England they are from.

Patti, if you put milk and sugar in first it is supposed to make a difference in the taste and temperature of the tea. Some others who did try it said they did notice a difference.

I always put the cream and sugar into my coffee cup first, before adding the coffee. It seems to mix better that way.

When I drink tea, I only add sugar.
