I am in search of healthy snack ideas, not just for kids, but anyone. I am stuck on apples and bananas. I know there are more, I keep a stash of nuts, but I am looking for new ideas. Anyone?
Thanks,
Rachel

Cheese is a good snack--either those "string cheese" if you need to pack it, or cubes or slices of regular cheese.
Pretzels are good--a low fat option when you want something crunchy.
Make a "snack mix" with raisins, Cheerios or other healthy cereal, your favorite nuts, maybe some mini pretzels.
Any kind of fruit or even raw vegetables with some dip (salad dressing or cheese).
I keep an old lunchbox (too small for my Big Kids' bigger appetites but still usable) in my car. Inside it I have packages of peanutbutter crackers and individually wrapped granola bars. No matter what the weather they don't melt or go bad. If my kids (or I) get hungry while we're on the road, there are some fairly healthy choices this way.
Thanks for the ideas! I just get so tired of them wanting something that is not good for them. I would like to have some healthier choices for them that is quick and easy. For me too. I am still waiting for the book of YOU ON A DIET and when that gets here, I hope I have some good snack ideas to post.
Thanks again, Rachel
