That is sweet of you Bilby. Looks like my lost post actually did post after I rewrote it.

You know we all go through phases and stages in our family lives a lot of the time we just forget to get rid of things that are no longer needed to move onto the next phase, lets face it we can't keep everything and there is some out there that may just get some good use out of the stuff you let go of in your phase for theirs.
My youngest only has 3yrs of high school left and all my kids will be out of school 'stuff' and I guess we then move onto our next ....... phase LOL

Bilby, I used to clean all my closets out every six months but just haven't been motivated as much in the last couple of years. Also sometimes dh won't let me get rid of things but he is getting better. Thanks for giving me the extra motivation to get it done. I still have a lot more to sort through but this morning got rid of more stuff and was able to get the tree up and the living room decorated for Christmas.

I recycled three boxes yesterday to ship Christmas packages.

I've freecycled a large bag of stuffed animals, probably 20 animals in it, a bag of mens clothes, at least 15 pieces. A small artificial Christmas tree, and a few other small things. Guess I was cleaning out and didn't realize it, LOL.
With Christmas coming, I did it just in time.

dh Nana when her house was cleaned out to go to a nursing home we found 106 plastic Chinese containers and a tonne of small cardboard boxes. She kept them just in case 1 day she needed them, a terrible fire hazard if something happened

My mom grew up during the depression and she saved everything. Her house was a fire hazard when she passed away and it took me several months to clean out all the clutter.
