We still watch most of our VHS tapes but I did get rid of all the preschool age tapes a couple years ago. I know DH will want to buy DVD's of the favorite tapes so for now we will just keep them and watch on the combo unit.

We went through the plastic storage cupboard the other week and matched bottoms with lids recycled all the grocery store containers which freed up a lot of space. I put the leftovers in a box as I know we have other lids, etc. still in the kitchen to sort through.

We've not had VHS tapes for at least a couple of years (the player went and we didn't buy anther) it was funny to read all the kids stuff we'd taped from when they were little, they were a little embarrassed! LOL

Today I went through our cupboard and got rid of some drinking glasses, I bought new ones a while back and thought to use them when the others went, today we now have a perfect set of 12 glasses and no odd ones!

Southern hemisphere is cooling down to go into winter so the northern hemisphere is warming up for summer, do you change your clothes, pack them away or .....

I take the time to decide if it will be worn next winter before packing away if I didn't wear it and don't see that I will I get rid of it. For the kids clothes most of it will be to small so dd1's clothes if it is a style that dd2 would fit into I keep for her otherwise we get rid of it.

I have been trying to get rid of things that we do not use and organizing what we do use so we can find it easier.

I did the kitchen cupboards two weeks ago, wrote the expiration dates in marker on the front of the cans/boxes so new food can be shelved according to dates. I pulled out food that was near the expiration date so we were sure to use it up in the coming weeks.

Pack my out of season clothes away. I sort through them first, decide what to keep. This year has been fun since I can wear little summer tops and dresses! My kids do their own packing and sorting. Need to tidy up everywhere else!

Ty will be moving out so I will be packing up his stuff simply to get it done. I don't think he will do it himself.

We have a large walk-in closet so I usually just bring the spring/summer clothes closer to the front when the weather gets warmer. There is a coat closet in the living room that I need to sort through though. Dh has an old tuxedo coat from a thrift store that he uses for a costume sometimes and also a trench coat besides the regular coats. It is still cool here but not cold enough to wear large coats.
