Stuffed Apples STUFFED APPLES 12 large baking apples 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 3 cups sage and onion flavor stuffing mix 1/3 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup apple juice or cider Cut 1/2 inch slice from top of each apple; core apple, being careful not to cut through to the bottom. Remove centers of apples, leaving about a 1/4 inch wall. Chop enough removed apple to measure 3/4 cup. Mix chipped apple with remaining ingredients, stirring until all liquid is absorbed. Divide apple mixture among apples and stuff each apple. Place apples in a caserole dish and bake @ 325 for an hour.
