I know with the upgrade some things you were used to have been a little difficult to find. The loss of the right side bar will take a little getting used to, so I'm trying to bring back a few of the things that we lost.
New Posts without Games
I know that many of you used this feature often. If you click on the Quick Links menu in the nav bar, you will now be able to get your new posts without the game threads, just like you did before.
What's Going On Box
While I cannot get the who's online, birthdays, and other stats back on the right sidebar and running throughout the site, I did put the "Who's Online", birthdays and calendar events back at the top of the forum homepage.
Gallery vs. Albums
While there is no longer a link to the gallery in the nav bar, you can still access it, HOWEVER, please note that if you try to log in while in the gallery, most likely you will not be able to remain logged in. the gallery will eventually be phased out, unless tech decides to upgrade to the latest version of the software that runs that program. I urge all of you to start using the new photo album feature available to all of you through your profiles. This link will explain how to use your albums
FamilyCorner.com Forums - FAQ: User Profile Features
and you can get to the gallery by using this link
FamilyCorner.com Magazine - FC Photo Gallery Friend Requests
This is a feature on the new version of the boards that is basically a social networking tool. You can learn about how to add and accept friends here
FamilyCorner.com Forums - FAQ: User Profile Features Finding Answers
There is a link in the nav bar called "FAQ". These are the most frequently asked questions for this software. Two links I gave you above are from the FAQ. If you are unsure how to use something on these boards, I urge you to try the FAQ. It has plenty of info there and you can usually find what you need without having to wait for one of us to answer.
I hope this is helpful. As I add or correct functionality, I will post it here. Thanks! I hope everyone is enjoying the new boards.
