Since some of us are using the newsletter for catch-up porposis (as in dolphins, as well as non dolphin wordings): Guest writers, not just from the Pro's (which I like), updates of newbies (over all and group newbies), etc.

i could do with out the siggy sayings but overall it keeps us all up to date like others say. I really missed it for the few weeks when we didn't get 1 or at least i didn't get 1.
I like the newsletter the way it is. It helps me keep up on things when I can't check in as often.
One idea might be to showcase one member each time. Have a few questions for them to fill in about themselves and maybe a few of their favorite things. of course let them pick what they are comfortable to have posted about themselves.

I am fairly new here so I don't really have any suggestions. I am just so happy that you all not only have the boards but you also have the newsletter. I belong to two other boards and they only have the boards - no newsletter. Maybe I'll have some suggestions in the future.
I hope you don't mind if I ask something here about the boards though. I have a hard time finding things I have looked at before because it seems like a lot of the posts or merged together into one. I'm not sure that I am saying it clearly but I hope you understand.

Tonya, if you post on a thread, you will automatically be subscribed to it. Plus, you can to go the User CP to find the threads that you are subscribed to. Another way to find the threads that you like is to use the search feature. At the top right, you will see search. Type a word or two that you remember and it will take you to a list of threads that have those words in them. I hope that helps.

Hi Hatvany!
You may really enjoy our other newsletter that is run for the website side of things. You can see a sample of it here. To subscribe to that newsletter go here. That newsletter will keep you up to date on new crafts, recipes, activities, printables, and plenty of other articles.
The article and craft picks are all pulled from the website side, so that newsletter (in addition to the forum newsletter) would be perfect!
One change I would include is to color code a few things. For example, Chef Guy award winner would be highlighted in one color, blue ribbon in another color, and so on.
I agree that would be a great feature, but unfortunately right now it isn't an option Right now I can only run text only newsletters. I am hoping that with the upgrade (hopefully sometime in the near future) the option for html mailings will be available. For now though, we are stuck with plain text :-P

Hi Jen!
If I am reading this correctly, I'm thinking you are referring to seeing articles by guest writers? If that is correct, that actually is what the website side of things are for. The newsletter we are referring to here is for the message boards. We don't actually house articles on the message boards as they are more of a discussion community. if you visit the website's homepage, outside of the forums, you will see a massive number of topics where we include many different guest authors who provide entertaining and useful articles.
Did I understand the suggestion and answer this correctly, or was I way off base?
