It is my personal opinion but if they were a little cross (icon to represent the prayer chain) and when we have people join and they see the ones with those icons... they may not feel comfortable in posting a prayer request but would pm someone who had the cross to confide in.GBU

I agree with Teresa, being able to recognise a prayer partner when trouble hits is important. Knowing a person is part of a prayer chain can bring hope when it is most needed.
I remember asking a German Baptist woman (she wore a prayer bonnet) to pray for me one day at the mall. At the time I didn't know anyone who prayed and when I saw her I knew she would help me pray. I was so very grateful to her and to God who placed her in my path.
On the internet it is only our signatures that give a small hint of our faith. An icon could help us to be a friend in need.
I think the praying hands symbol would be great because it covers all of those who pray.
Love & Prayers,
Linda

Amen Linda... I agree with you 100%, the praying hands would be better than the cross. I love that idea. GBU
Even though I've been gone a while, I hope you don't mind my 2cents worth. I would have to say I agree with this idea. I know I was just thinking about how neat it would be to have some way to distinguish prayer partners. I love the idea of the praying hands. I would really appreciate something like that to be made available for us.GBU2!
I'm glad that the praying hands was suggested as the symbol for the prayer chain thread.
Those of us in this community who are not Christian feel more welcomed when the site continues to be presented as the supportive pluralistic family it truly is.
HI, I actually voted for postcard icon before reading the thread. I so totally agree with what's been written, that I might need to vote a second time.

I, like Meg, had voted for the pc icon but after reading all the posts and knowing that I have used that thread many times when I needed prayers has made me see that it is a better one....maybe next time we could do the pc one..I also love that thread because I have gotten to see so many beautiful places that I otherwise never would have.
nice that you are doing another award regardless of which one it is....

WEll it said you could vote for more than 1 so that what I did.
I agree with these ladies that posted before me. and I do like the praying hands, for most would recognize that as praying. I know I've received pm before and feel others has to because we have mention about praying and they have read one of our post and came to us in prayer. Alot are not comfortable in posting a need or they think it to little of a need, which is never is, and if the see those praying hands they would come to us and we could be there for them.
I also posted for the pc swap and by doing that I felt that Couponaholics would need one as I'm not sure which one was here first.
Plus it only tells a little bit more about us.
the blogs, I think this is to new to get one, that just my opinion.
Amanda I love the idea of getting more awards and you looking into it for us. Thank you
