New chatroom is here!

I have finally gotten the chatroom installed! I till have some customizing to do to it, but it can be used. It works just fine!

When you get there it will require you to register, you are not automatically registered just because you are a member of the boards. That's something I'm looking into, but for now you will have to do it seperately. Registering is easy, it only takes a second and there aren't a ton of questions to answer, it will email your password to you, which you can then change after you log in by clicking Edit Profile.

I will be setting up some regular chats, and will add a link to it on the boards or top navigation, but it's pretty easy to remember, it's the site url followed by a slash (/) and the word chat. Just like this!

I just went to the new chat site, well new to me anyway, and I can't seem to get anyone to hear me. You had said that I would need to fill out a form of some sort but that's not what it said I had to do. I was just welcomed and then told to follow chat room ettikette

Hi Just visited the chat room. There wasn't anyone in there at the moment. If anyone wants to chat, let me know & we can set up a time to go in. Would be great to chat with everyone.

Having problems with Chat. Minny and I was trying to chat and she is in the chat room, but when I hit the button chat, shows it is loading goes up to 32% and starts back over, she sees that I'm in the room, but my computer is still loading your program, please let us know what the problem is so we chat chat with others on this forum.

Hi Everyone,

Minny and I were having problems getting into the live chat room, so I sent email to technical support. I received an email back and they explained that aol and compuserve clients having trouble.Which I am compuserve.

Problem Solved: go to the internet explorer and type in www.familycorner.com/chat and you will get into the chat room. What I have been doing is when I see someone on line on site, just send them PM with the above note and tonight we had 6 people chatting from all over. We sure had fun!! Also I posted a message on the postcard and Indiana site. We are trying to chat about 9:00 p.m. Eastern time (Indiana, USA) and we are having a blast.

Also you can minimize that window and still be able to search on the web along with getting instant message from others at the same time.

Hope to see more in the chat room soon.

I went into the chatroom and it seemed to work but noone responded. Someone else was there and they too were asking if anyone was there. They may have left before I got there, I could not tell. I had never been there before. Is anyone using it and having success?
