blushing Anyone else hate to paint ALONE?

I don't know why, but I absolutely hate to paint by myself. I have the paint for my one living room wall, the hallway and my whole kitchen sitting in the hallway closet. I just can't motivate myself to do it ALONE.

Anyone else have this "problem"?

I haven't done any painting in a long time...but your question led me to wonder if you normally like painting when someone else is painting with you.

In that case, find a friend who also has some painting or other chore to do! She can help you with your painting, and you can help her.

I like to paint to the radio for the chit chat. I like to paint alone so I can keep track of the tarp and the can and don't spill them on the rug!

I prefer to paint alone just wish I had more time to devote to it each day. It is taking me forever to get the play/guest room painted. But I've only been able to devote 30-60 minutes a day to getting it painted. I have primed the ceiling & walls, and have the ceiling painted and walls trimmed so will roll the walls today and tomorrow. Will decide when it is dry if I'll need a second coat or not.

I know what you mean - Ihave started to paint under the stairwell and got so bored that I left the paint in the can and now I have a crust on the paint and guess what? I guess I hate to paint FULL STOP! However, when my son and i painted the living room, he did the cutting in and I did the big stuff and it wasa breeze!

I would much rather do it alone so I can be sure it is done correctly. Besides, my husband is a putzer and it would take forever to get anything done. It took him 4 hours one time to trim out a room that was only 10 x 10. He really doesn't like to paint, think that was his way of getting out of it!

It's been awhile since i have done "room" painting, but even with my arts & craft projects I prefer to do it alone - it is one thing when I am working w/children, and a whole other thing when I am at home...
