Trying to be fit by 40
I've tried it before and saw great results. Then, I got lazy and gained it back.
I have set a long-term goal to be fit at 40.
I will be turning 39 at the end of May this year so this gives me plenty of time to reach my goal.
I am low-carbing again! This Wed. will be 2 weeks for me.
I have joined Curves again.
I plan on starting a walking routine very soon.
We have signed the family up at the "Y" too. I will probably only use it to walk and swim; but who knows, I might the nerve to try out their machines someday.

I was sick for a couple of weeks last year, bad tummy bug upset and also was told by my Doc I could become diabetic if I did not watch my sugar/carb levels. As I lost my kilos (5) by being sick I decided this was the time (was 40 then) to keep the ball rolling.
I haven't looked back, I ended up losing 10kg in all and took up Curves last Oct. I love the, I'm now 41 and 10 kilos lighter feel, and don't plan to go back. I'm not perfect but I am much fitter than I used to be not quite a year ago.
This past Easter was hard!
Go for it, you will feel the benefits and so will your family. Good luck.
Good luck. The important thing is keep trying. One day at a time. I have put on and taken off weight and put it back on then taken it off and so on. Just keep trying to get some exercise, and eat healthy. Even little things like parking farther from the store, and making many trips to upstairs/downstairs instead of one gets in extra exercise each day.
Way to go Tami.
I wish you all the best. We will all be here to encourage you on the way. Curves is great. Walking, watching what you eat etc ~ you know the drill!!
Let us know how you are doing so we can cheer you on!!
Way to go to Tami and anyone else who is trying to get in shape.I know you can do it.I am still trying to lose some stubborn pounds that won't come off.I exercise and exercise but my problemn is that i love food. And i can so relate to losing the weight and putting it back on.

Thank you!
You're right, it's hard to get going again. There's been a few times today when I thought about "starting again" tomorrow but I haven't given in yet. I keep telling myself that I know that the first few days are the hardest.
I can do this!
