| Love abounds
Thank you everyone for sharing your stories with all of us.
I have three biological children whom I love with all my heart (6,3,8m), but I can no longer have children . . . I don't know who said it first, my hubby or me, but someday when these three are a bit older, we would like to adopt a couple of children out of the foster system. I always wanted a bunch of children, I just have too much fun being a kid with them.
I have an adopted sister (biologically she is my cousin), who my parents rescued from the system. I watched her overcome so much with patience and perserverence on my mother's part. Growing up she never called my mom - "Mom", always "Aunt", but now that she is an adult, she only refers to my mom as "Mom". She said that once she had kids, she could see that our mom is reallly her mom . . .
Anyways, good luck and God's blessings to all of you who have given someone a child to love, taken in a child to love, or been the child able to reciprocate the love within an adoptive family.
