Birthdays in December

My birthday is December 24th (no, I don't get extra gifts...) and my youngest daughter's is December 6th. Mom always fixes me a homemade Strawberry Cheesecake Before My Grandma passed away she would make me a carrot cake at each birthday- ohh....how I miss them!!!(HER and the CAKE!!!!)

Pinkie Winky My Birthday is.....

My birthday is December 30th. My grandmother used to make me carrot cakes every year for my birthday also.....I really miss her, she was such an here on earth! She died the day my youngest daughter was 3wks. old. My mom still makes me a Lemon Meringue Pie almost every year. One of my brother's also shares a December birthday....his is on the 23rd though. For years, I thought both of our birthday's was on the 23rd!

December 18th chiming in! I was due on Christmas, God had other plans for me. Was a gift to my mom supposedly only took 3 hours and no hard pushing. Bro beat me though at 15 mins !!! The Dr. almost missed him

I do not get shorted on presents but do tend to get upset if bday presents are wrapped in Christmas paper.

My Grandma used to make my cakes too, she was Wilton trained. I miss them both too

LJsmom, I am the same way about my "birthday gift" being wrapped in Christmas paper...LOL!!! My Mother ALWAYS wraps mine in a special birthday paper, but not others... And, Paula, my son was also 3 weeks old when my dear Grandma passed away, she held him in her arms (as she was in a semi coma at his birth )and I came to visit in the hospital, right after she began to recognize us. She said " I love you baby- you know Great grandma has always been partial to boys", I just sobbed, needless to say. She passed away the very next day. However, I cherish that moment and it is just a clear to me now as it was that day nearly 10 years ago now...

Oh Chadsmom, I know exactly how you feel! My memories are as fresh today as they were 17yrs. ago! I had a very special bond with my grandmother and I know she's been watching over us since her death. Thank you for sharing your memory with me.
Hugs & Happiness~~~ Sweet Magnolia

Can I add some more tears?
DD1 was the first for both sides, and 1st ggd on my moms side. The gramma I mentioned above died 3 mos. before she was born. My gr-gramma was still alive at that time and all I wanted was a pic of all the generations together. Gr-gramma through dd1. Didn't happen obviously but we found a baby blanket she had started before she passed that was 1/2 done.
My mom finished it before dd's first bday, it is her "special blanky".

I know that has nothing to do with Dec. birthdays but wanted to add it any way.

We are kind of special I think; being born when we are. Don't you?

HiAll. We have two December birthdays at our house. My DS #1 is on the 2nd. He was also the first grandbaby on both sides

Then my birthday is on the 29th. i just had by 40th this last December. What an awful day. Didnt get to do any of the special things i wanted to do for my 40th. Guess i will have to make each of the next 40 worthwhile

Happy day all!
