Anniversary coming up

Mine and my dh's 8th wedding anniversary will be cming up on Oct 4th. I have no idea what to do for it this year as we are very tight money wise.
I asked him what he wanted to do and he said "something fun, entertaining and interesting"..Notice that there was nothing about ROMANTIC in that sentence at all. Oh well. Any ideas?

Congratulations on your upcoming Anniversary!

Mine always tells me he doesn't want anything for any Holiday ~ then is disappointed when there really isn't anything. But an Anniversary should be Romantic! Mine has changed his mind on some areas since I sell Lingerie & Bedroom Accessories.

Make a special dinner for just the two of you, light some candles, and wear something you haven't worn in awhile. Make sure the house is all to yourselves! You could be surprised!!

Think of a theme that makes you both think back to something that happen during that time you got together, bringing back that memory by fixing up the bedroom with that theme, or whatevver room you be in, or do more than one room, do a candle lit dinner, being cozy, play the music of that era, look thru pictures and make it special for both of you

make him a handmade card that put the real you in it, for handmade things means more than a store brought card many of times

was there a favorite movie that you loved during that time, play it,

remember sex is wonderful yes, but there is more to a marraige than just sex.

woman think one way and the man another, make him feel importand, stick notes in places that he will find thourgh out the day that you done up before your anniversary.

On the mirror during the night use shaving cream and write a wondeful message to him.

YOU should feel good about making him feel good, or it does it for me.

I agree that romance is more than just the act of sex. I try to do SOMETHING special for him as much as I can. Notes in his lunch box or left on the steering wheel of the truck ( his co workers tell him that am checking up on him)..I send him flowers "just because". What I figured out to do is I called the place where we met and let them know that we met there MANY years ago and that I would like to surprise him by taking him back there on our anniversary. They were very happy about that and said that they would be sure to make it very special for us!
He thinks that we are going to a dinner theater which would be fine but we haven't been back to the place we met since we met! We have awonderful relationship...we are both very lucky and I feel that we both know that and this should be a celebration about US! :D

We have 2 anniv. for we celebrate when in our hearts we did the vows for we lived together for 5 yrs before sayng I Do.

then we have the actually Wedding date,

we celebrate both, we got one on the 1st weekend of OCt coming up that is the one we made the vows to our selves and to GOD we will make a go of it and will get married but for NOW we were asking for GOD"S Blessing to join in in marriage in HIS EYES until we could get married legal. GOD did bless it too.
