My first DH & I went to Las Vegas. We didn't gamble. Saw shows and the dam. Also toured downtown where the giant cowboy is that was always featured in the opening of the show "Vegas". Only stayed 4 days. The heat there almost killed us!
Present DH & I really didn't get a homeymoon. I lived in Jacksonville, Fla , he lived in Georgia just across the state line from Fla. , his parents/family lived here in Louisiana, while my family/parents lived in Houston. We went and got married by a J.P. and then drove here for a casual party/reception with his friends & family. Later we drove on to Houston for the same thing with my friends/family. Then we had to head back as I had to change my name on everything and get my military ID before I went back to work.
My dh and I did not go on a honeymoon. My dh was going to night school at the time to learn a trade while working suring the day.
Can you beleive we are married almost 13 years and we have NEVER been away. Also, since my dd birth, we have never been out or alone. My mother is not reliable to babysit and my mil just came back into our lives this past Sept.
The good Lord gives us days to celebrate....another birthday, another anniversary...and we should do that....celebrate them...celebrate Life before it slips by........*s*

If you're talking about the Mall of America, IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That wasn't the first time we were there, but it was the most fun. If you've never been, you seriously HAVE to go!! And if you have kids, (we now have three, had 1 1/2 at the time), they will love it too. It really takes more than a day to enjoy all of it and don't forget where you park!

We went to Niagara Falls also but 2 years later than Caronamy!
The falls were beautiful. We drove up and the thing we remember most was stopping in Ohio. We were not in the hotel 15 minutes when there was a fire alarm. The other guest, upon realizing we were the honeymooners, kidded us. Gave us lots of advice.

Tx Chef,
We are from Ohio and we sing On the Road Again for every getaway! lol!
Shawn,Dh and I have not yet been away over night since ds came along either he just turned 2. We have been trying to set something up for about 3 months now. We supposdly got another "promise" for the beginning of June we shall see hope and pray. Just kidding but it would be nice to get away. Its odd how my parents keep saying when he is older they will keep him overnight, I just dont get it, my mil thinks she is too old and cant keep up with him, I think she was convinced she was to old by over protective sisters in law. (they yell at her if she picks up our son) She had bypass surgery about 1 1/2 yrs ago and they treat her like it was yesterday.
