Ugh, it's that time again!

Well, April 6th is coming in about half an hour. Another b-day for me. I'm turning 34. I know that's not 'old' but I sure feel like I am. That's what bites.

Am I the only one who feels like a birthday is just another day to remind us of how far we've come and how little time we have left? Or do any of you also feel that around b-day time?

This year I planned my own b-day party. That kind of bites too. Why am I planning my own party? My DH could have done it! But then, I always tell him not to. And he just does as I ask him. I know he's not a mind reader. Oh well. I know we'll have fun anyway. And maybe it'll be a new tradition to have a cookout on my b-day in April, kind of like the start of spring cookout or something. Someone mentioned that to me and I kind of like it. It makes the b-day less dreary ... LOL.

Well, Happy B-day to me!

Ciao ladies! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday Kristin!

I turned 49 on St. Patricks Day and you know what, it didn't bother me in the least! Like you though, when I was in my 30's I felt like I was on a slippery slope and was depressed at turning 35. Something happened when I hit 45 though and it no longer distresses me to age. I am a grandmother of 3 and look/feel younger than I am. Of course my dh who is 3 years younger than me likes to tell me that "no matter how old he gets, he'll always be yonger than me!" He taught me years ago that age is just a number.

I have a blessed life with the man I adore, 3 great daughters and 3 beautiful and almost perfect (yeah, right!) grandkids. I've finally come to realize that it's the quality of my days not the numbers that matter.

Things could be worse for you--my twin sister has had to bake her own b'day cake for years if she wants one. Her dh, dk's and even our dm (who used to live right up the street!) never volunteered to make it. How sad is that?

Have a great birthday and give thanks to the good Lord for another one! And next year tell dh that HE can plan the party--you're just going to sit back and enjoy yourself.

Jayne

Yeah, that's right, KristinW! Just think---turning 34 is much better than the alternative.....NOT turning 34!!!

Just be thankful for every day, every birthday, everything!

At the end of my dad's rather long life--he lived to be 83 years old, had served in the army in WWII, and done many, many other things--he continually told me how fast it had all gone by. I decided after that that I would live my life as fully as I could and enjoy every minute of it.

ENJOY EnJOY ENJOY being 34--it only happens once! And look forward to 35---it just keeps getting better and better--REALLY!!

Woo hoo! So glad to hear it was a good birthday.

Now go have a great year and tell dh to start planning next years now, that you want a big blow-out.

Happy belated birthday Kristen

I'm the big 37 today (12th) and my dh made me breakfast nothing fancy but I love the fact he just made if for me

We are going out to dinner tonight I think to celebrate.
My dh also sorts out the kids and any squabbles for the day and that's my present....... and I couldn't think of a nicer one

My inlaws do more to celebrate my birthday. My mum, gets me a card and gives me a phone call, she does remembers every year.
Aging is not a thing that worries me, lets face it you can't stop time, and who would really want too.

Happy bday hon!

I know I already said it but I saw this post and had to reply! Glad you had a great bday and hey, I'm not far behind you. I'll be 32 in July! Not looking forward to it but it comes no matter what right? I'm not having a party. Don't like them much. So, enjoy life, one day at a time and you don't look a day over 25! Love ya, my friend!

Well Happy bday to you, Bilby!

Sounds like you had a great birthday! How lucky you are to have such a wonderful hubby to make you breakfast....although, mine does that too. ;-) Gotta love them! Enjoy the rest of your day! Make the best of it! You are worth it!
