Hi Everyone!! I missed you all!

Hello to all my FC family and friends! I haven't been around for ages--intrnet service out in the boonies is sketchy at best lol. Just wanted to give you all a quick update: I finally got divorced but the ex is still living here

. I am working part time, at least temporarily. I still don't have a car that runs so getting to where the jobs are is almost impossible! There is no bus route in Yale lol! My youngest son was just diagnosed with ADD and my oldest is still too smart for his own good--I am so lucky to have them both. Other than that, not much has changed. I am still trying to save money and give my kids everything they need while not letting them know how tough it really is. My ex still has the same issues as always, only now it's my fault because I take all his money (child support) and don't hand what little I make at work over to him. I can't wait until I can be rid of him for good but for all his faults he loves the boys and that's more than some women can say.

MrsManiac, glad to have you back. I don't think I completely understand why your ex is still living with you? If he is paying child support then wouldn't he be a burden to have around to feed and eat and sleep?

Some parents feel it is a burden to have to pay child support. Kids cost money to raise. They shouldn't have children if they don't want to pay for their upkeep.

I hope things get better for you.

Mrs maniac, not sure how it is there, but if your ex is paying court ordered child support you need to boot him out. I think here in PA if the ex is paying court ordered child support, they better not be living in the same residence.

I agree with Coll. It can be illegal for a parent to allow the other parent, who is paying child support, to live in the same household, especially if you are collecting assistance from the state. If I were you, I would call an attorney and make sure.

OK--used to be MrsManiac but couldn't log in. So-- I explained my entire situation to the judge. Ex pays support even though he still lives here, but only for so long before he has to move out. There is no state assistance because they count his income even though we are divorced.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond--I just got home from a 17 day hospital stay where half of my foot was amputated. The fun never stops lol!
