Most embarrassing moment?

What is your most embarrassing moment? How did you handle it? Can you laugh about it now?

so I was laying in bed next to my dh recently and started quietly reminiscing to myself about embarrassing moments, I giggled and then snorted and he said, what? and I told him about the memory, he said, oh! well you aren't the only one, we all do those things at times....but still....I seem to have so many moments that are embarrassing they all seem to be the most embarrassing at the time...

how about the time I used the word 'black' instead of 'African American' while substitute teaching, and thirty students said whoooooaaaaa! and I was embarrassed because my generation said 'black' but this generation doesn't and considers that word as bad as the n word was for my generation....I didn't substitute anymore that year because I couldn't trust myself to make another inadvertent mistake

and of course I have many of those tooter times! so funny chocolate chip, my sister had the same experience except she jumped up and ran home to do the thing and left the boy wondering what he had done wrong, and no, they didn't date after that again either

Ellen, that is funny. Yes, Black is acceptable in professional writing, but in conversation it is considered a dirty word. Go figure.

When I used to work 12 hour days as a restaurant manager at night, I used to eat a lot of chocolate covered expresso beans. One August, I grabbed some and headed to work. I walked around, offering tea and coffee to customers to make sure they were getting good service. After about 30 minutes, one of my waitresses asked to talk to me in private. She told me to go look at the back of my pants in the bathroom. OMG! Several chocolate covered expresso beans had melted between my legs and it made me look like I had diarrhea! I went home and changed clothes. There is no telling how many people saw that and didn't want to hurt my feelings to tell me because they really did not know it was chocolate.

Well, this was a loong time ago, back in high school but I will never forget it.
I was taking disco dance lessons. John Travolta and Saturday Night Fever was all the rage back then.
The guy I was dancing with ...he pulled me in close for a swing and my braces got caught on his sweater!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

hugs, train
