I had a rough night last night with mom and her cna sings country gospel music,Joannie Rae Evans and I go to her web site and listen to her music. It just calms me down.
I think music is the most wonderful way to de-stress. For me, I also talk to myself. Yes, you heard me right. I talk to myself--outloud. I think it helps me problem solve and hear the problem and resolve it. I also talk to friends, who are going to be honest with me.
I wish I had a punching bag. I don't. But, I do have a 38 and a 40 cal hand gun. I wish I had more time to throw my stress off in a gun. I am going to have to make time to do that. I can go to a rancher's ranch and he/she will allow me to shoot on their property if I promise to make sure their cows/goats/and so on aren't in danger.
Some hot tea, Jazz music playing lightly in the background, legs covered in a throw blanket, and reading a lovely Jane Austen novel sounds about right for me. (when I am home)
If not that and I am not home, then I just put on some Fleetwood Mac from my iPod and listen to them. They can de-stress me instantly.
