3 things you regret not learning

What are three things you regret not learning when you were young?

For me I would say: Sign Language
learning to play an instrument, like drums!!!
and...oh, I gotta come back , still thinking on a third one...

I regret not...

learning to sew

learning to speak a foreign language fluently

going against my parents wishes to get a job instead of going to college - I should've followed my gut to use my grades and honors in high school to apply for scholarships.

This is a tough one. I wished I had started learned Spanish a lot sooner than I did. Things would be easier for me now at work. (90% of the inmates where I work are from Mexico and do not speak English and they are all illegal immigrants).

I am so glad I have learned to square dance half way decently. I got so frustrated many times and almost quit but didn't give up like I normally do!

Have you learned anything new in 2010?!!!

hugs, train

1. Not continuing to learn to speak French and using what I did know. It's now mostly gone.

2. Not learning how to knit. It's never too late for this one. I'm hoping to learn this in the upcoming year!

3. Not being more computer-literate. I can turn one on, use word processing programs and access the internet. That's all.

The thing I am happiest that I learned is sewing. I took an adult class at a local high school when my girls were babies. It has brought me so much joy. I haven't done much of it lately, but I'm planning on changing that!

What are three things you regret not learning when you were young?

does this mean what 3 things we learned and do not regret learning, or 3 things we requet that we did not learn?

3 things I learned that I did not regret learning as a child would be:
1.living a simple life,
2. to start my seach for Jesus
3. about step parents

3 things I reqret not learning and wished I did learn
1. more education and do better in my books
2. to be more independ
3. to love myself more and not have the low self esteem I grew up with.

My regrets-not learning to be unafraid of water. I can drink it and bathe in it but don't even think about throwing me in.
Now this one is silly but true. I always wanted to learn to yodel. As you can imagine there are no books for that. I tried looking for books, tapes, everything. I can't do it by just listening to a song.
I always wished I could sing well but that one isn't because I didn't try. Some folks are blessed with it and some aren't.

me too Joyce, if I'd worked at it I might have a chance at carryign a tune but now I've got a lousy 3 note range and no hope of sounding angelic even in the shower, so singing halfway decently and learning to play an instrument would be two of mine

the third? latin, but it's never to late to learn...

I agree with you chocolate chip!

for me it was not travelling more as a young person so I could go to those countries and learn their languages!

I also regret not learning more math, the second level of calculus;
the citric acid cycle;
and taking a finishing school class.
