Do you post differently at different sites?

Do you post on various Websites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Family Corner, and so on? If so, do you divulge more of yourself in one place than another? Do you type about things in one place that you don't usually type about in another? If so, why?

Other than my blogs, I don't have a place that I post more on than FC.

I only divulge secrets here, too. I feel that I'm part of a family here.

I don't do Twitter, Facebook...etc.

I do facebook, and it is different.
Here is more family,
facebook is a place where several of my friends and I have known each other from other websites that we no longer go to, but can gather at Facebook.
it is also where my church family is as well.

I like to do the games over at Facebook.
my daughter is over there too, LOL,

so I am different and not as open as I am here, I feel like. Don't get me wrong, I am open there as well, but here it just feel different, it home..

now other may not see a difference.

over at facebook , many of the Fc membes and I play games together but don't really talk much,

Pretty much ditto for me what Barbar just said.
For me, Facebook is a place to keep in contact with old classmates and friends. For me, that is big, since I have moved so much.
It's more just a keeping in touch though.
Here it is much more personal. Here it is family.

hugs, train

I am like the others. I limit what I post on FB because I have been contacted by old friends from high school, family, and so on. I don't want all them knowing all my business. Then I have a race site, that I haven't posted in, in quite a while since Bobby started his FB page, but I post pretty much what I post on Bobby's FB page. I just post racing stuff. I don't even post about my family, school, work, and so on. I have noticed that my "personality" here in FC is different than that on FB, which is different than when I post on a race site.

I am lots more open here than on Facebook. I talk with old friends and my brother and his fam on FB. I personally don't play the games tho' my daughter and grands do. I also comment with other FC ones on there too.

Yes. I'm like Patti I post more about myself here than I do facebook or any other forum bar 1 and that is a very small closed forum.
I guess for all the details I post here and that I know so many people in some small way I'm still anonymous ..... oh oh that sounds a bit weird huh LOL

I agree with everyone else--I tell more about myself and what is going on in my life here than on Facebook.
I think that Family Corner is more of a family atmosphere. Sharing here feels safe.
On Facebook I have friends from work, high school, church, the community and my family (including my kids). There are some things there that I do not want everyone to know.
Perfect example on being careful what you share was this fall when we had to get a new car. I posted a very short post on Facebook about it. One of my FB friends read it and told her husband. Dh went to town the next day and stopped to tell this particular man about our new car and the saga of our van dying. He never got the chance as the man told him he knew all about it from Facebook. Boy was I in the dog house.
Now I keep my status updates pretty generic or wait until it is old news.
