On our first anniversary, dh and I went to a bed and breakfast inn in Vermont. We had champagne and caviar (decided we did not like caviar lol) and had a wonderful time. We hope to go to a bed and breakfast inn for every anniversary but by our second anniversary our first child was born so that was the end of that. We are approaching out 25th anniversary next spring so I am hoping we can find a special way to celebrate it (which should be easier as our 3 dks are much older now.)

All 18 of our anniversaries have been good ones, but I have two that tie each other...our 6 month and our 18th. For our 6 month I contacted Madonna Inn in San Louis Obispo, CA to find out what room(s) they had available in June, explaining that we were just married in January and were unable to visit their beautiful landmark Inn. Again we only had the weekend, but we were given the "Bridal Suite" which has a beautiful stain glass waterfall window pane, rock wall bathroom, including shower, and the main room itself has the same rock design, a leather couch, and a fireplace. A bottle of Champagne, Balloons, and a welcome note "Congratulations" awaited our arrival. We visited down town San Louis Obispo and Hearst Castle in San Simone.
The 18th Anniversary was the day we held our combined b-day party that my Aunt, Uncle, two cousins, and a cousins spouse came over to help celebrate and watch a football game (which we gracefully put on - since we aren't big sports fanatics). My parents sent flowers, and we made a cake... no one else besides my DH and I knew it was also our anniversary.
