Hi! I have a son who will be graduating this year and he is my oldest. I am excited, yet a part of me is a little sad. I have 4 other children - all girls - ages 14, 12, 9 and 5. My youngest just started kindergarten and I have one that just started middle school and one that just started high school.

I have a son that will be graduating in 2007...I am so excited..but since he is my youngest...I am sad my job of mothering is coming to an end..the daily activity, and so on..I am not ready for Empty nest, and what will I do with all my time? I devoted my life to being a mother....so now what? lol

Hopefully my son will go to a college in town, so maybe I will see him for holidays?

Hugs, Janet

My oldest graduates this year. I'm scared and nervous because of college! In the 1st 12 yrs as long as I paid my taxes it was a matter of just puttin her on the bus. But next year is about paying and arranging it all. Very daunting!!! I'm going to try to just enjoy the whole Senior Yr. Thing with her and not worry so much. Her Senior Pics came today so here we go!!!!!

My middle son graduates this year. My daughter started high school this year so ours are almost raised. Some days I am really happy thinking hubby and I will finally have some time alone and some days I am really sad cause I will miss them being around all the time. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 23 well nearly 24 years.

But hey if I'm lucky in a few years there will be grandkids running around.

I hate the thought of my son moving out of our home...gee whiz!

And I keep hearing when I am 18 I can do what I want...is that true?

Lol

Hugs, Janet

Janet that is what I keep hearing from my 14 year old (I know it all) daughter. We told her the other night that if she didn't watch her mouth she wouldn't have to wait until she was 18 that we were going to ship her off to boarding school.
My oldest 19 still lives at home, works a full time job as a computer tech. for the school system and goes to college in the evening. He is in no hurry to move out althought his girlfriend of 2 years is ready to get married (he's not) and that is fine with us because he is such an easy kid. He never stays out to late and follows all our rules.
My middle son 17 pretty well follows all the rules also and is maybe going to live on the college campus next year and I hate that. I would rather him live here and go to college but I know it will probably be good for him to be on his own so I try not to influnce him.
