My older daughter's nickname is Pinky, lol she got that at 15 months because before that we called her Stinky and my Mom started fussing "how can you call that precious little girl that" etc. She is a red head and I went to school with a red head who was nicknamed Pinky so hubby and I started calling her Pinky since it rhymed with Stinky and would be an easy transition for her. Her actual name is Merri Ruth

DS2 has bright orange hair with very fair skin (I'm fair skinned, sunburn, peel and stay the same colour .... white! lol) but doesn't have the freckles. His nickname is ginger, or 'ranga (short for orangutan). Hubby tans nicely as does ds1 ... go figure, must be my way back English relatives.
