Trainlady

Way cool;-) I've only been on a train once and that was to ride from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Denver, Colorado. The first reason was I'd never been on a train before, and the second was because I'd never been to Colorado. It was so totally cool. Want to do it again someday only to some other place, maybe New Mexico.

My username

I got my username from being hawaiian and a female. 96 is the year i graduated. I usually go by the username of courtjester96, since my last name is Jester, and I tend to follow the humor of my ancestors. But lately, I have been wanting a more feminine screen name..so that is how mine came about!

chuckle Mahola Jester!

Mahalo and Shocka to you Hawaiiangirl96 aka Jester96...I was on Oahu, Hawaii, back in 1974-76, when my son was just 2 years. My x-husband was stationed in Pearl Harbor, at the Naval Station. That was the best present anyone could ask for; because the squardon he was stationed with got orders to go to Hawaii for our new duty station. I loved every minute of it :p . So now I am in Virginia and it is someplace to be better then anywhere else I guess. What you call home is always in your ... Take care and welcome...Cheryl

I miss Hawaii to

Hi CairalBe, I to lived in Oahu back around the same time. It was from 1971-1980 wow that seems like forever and a moon. My dad was staioned at Hickam Air Force Base. So we lived there 9 years he just kept extending his duty so i practically grew up there. I moved there when i was in the 1st grade and left when i was in the 9th. I loved it and so miss it. I mostly miss all the ethnic food that they had there. People can belive i actually lived there then they say Military Brat!!!! LOL but it was nice. I now am married with my own family and live in TEXAS!!!! what a change i never foget my hawaiian days but i do miss everything about it. If you or hawaiiangirl have any hawaiian recipes or filipiono that was great as well i would love it. i miss the sweet rice cakes the most, loved the manapuas and the lumpia!!!!! and pancit ummmmm oh gotta go i am getting hungry!!!

momto2cuties--

How lucky for you to have lived in Hawaii so long! --A wonderful experience.

That saying you have at the end of your post is the cutest thing I've read in a long time. And the last one is nice, too. Lucky kids.

Thanks

Thanks Blondie I saw it and thought it was the cutest as well. I actually saw it on a tshirt that they were selling for vacation bible school. I thought what a perfect quote Ü Especially for my dd she is so nutso about herself. She is 2 1/2 and she gets her clothes on in the morning and says "mommy I'm gorgeous!!" how bad is that. I tell her that alot and now it stuck.

When god created my kids, he was just showing off.

Way cool

I think it is wonderful that at the tender age of 2 1/2 she is developing a good self image of herself. Keep it up mom2twocuties. You are terrific.

I agree Ladyinmaille

I to agree at such a young age its good to have great self image. I have told my kiddos since they were babies how goergous and goodlooking they are. I have created little conceited monsters. And i love it.
