I belong to a group at my church that hosts a Living Nativity every year just before Christmas.
When we invite people to participate and enjoy the ceremony, we also let them know that we are accepting donations to be given to the local crisis pregnancy center. Some people give monetary donations; others bring baby clothes, diapers, formula and other baby needs.
One of my friends volunteers at the pregnancy center and she says that they always need diapers--especially in the bigger sizes as some of the moms also have older babies who are in need. So I try to get some packs of diapers in size 4, 5 or 6 and donate those. Everyone thinks of newborns when they donate to crisis-pregnancy centers, but these centers help moms right through the baby's first years.
