
I purchased a book about teas a few years ago, and chai tea is supposed to be taken with milk or cream. It's ok by itself, but it is better with milk, cream or coffeemate. It gives it a richer and smoother taste.
I like to have afternoon tea as a diabetic snack and pick-me-up. I have several scone recipes I can make and I use unbleached and or whole grain flour and Splenda as a sugar replacement. Splenda doesn't turn bitter.
