If your ds room is stuffy at night leave the window open to let air in then when you go to bed close it.

We don't have air con either but coming out of winter, and spring is here now there is also the pollens to contend with sort of making it asthma/allergy combined, the ventolin still helps.
Don't ask me how but windy days sets him off as well, could be the extra dirt and dust, little things I'm sure you'll be looking out for.
Asthama, eczema, reflux and allergies all go hand in hand.

Since that earlier trip south we have been again to the snow, yet playing in the snow (was not super cold but cold enough) did not set him off but going up the mountains and down again did, it was the drop in air temps, weird. LOL
