I had my gall bladder taken out in my mid 30's after excruciating pain in my lower back so bad I prayed for God to just take me home. I hurt so bad I wouldn't go to the emergency room because I knew I'd be laying around on a uncomfortable bed for hours. I went to my doctor after about a week of this off and on pain, he didn't think much about it but I pushed as my mil said it was the same symptons dh father had had with his. So they scheduled me for a ultrasound and found that yes I did indeed have them. They also discovered at the same time I had high blood pressure so we had to wait a couple months till they got that under control with different medications. Anything with fat in it would set it off, oatmeal cookies, candy, anything at all with fat in it. I had to tread very carefully on everything I ate... no pizza, no cheeseburgers (except turkey which is lower in fat). I had the lyproscopic surgery though the doc said it was almost full scale surgery because when they got in there, it was ready to burst and could have killed me as the poison went through my whole body. Thankfully I had a very skilled doctor and came home the next day. I can now eat anything I want. At the time of my diagnosis I wasn't diabetic but now am so unfortunately I still can't eat everything I'd like to eat but had nothing to do with the gall bladder.
