Your friend is so fortunate that you want to make something special for her and the baby. The bath salt sounds lovely. Another packaging idea would be little plastic bags (enough for 1 bath) filled and then tied with a pretty ribbon. As for the baby, since you can crochet, why not buy some inexpensive, plain receiving blankets and crochet a border on them. That would be a great way to share your talent -- and I think that would be a neat LOVE gift to give!
