No tofu has no taste at all, you're the one who decide what it will taste. It's fun isn't it?;-)
If you want to marinate it, you just have to cut it small cubes, like you would do with kebab. You take the marinade you like most (you can find some at the grocery store that are already made). But in that case your dh will maybe notice that's tofu but you can try it anyway.
If you don't want him to know, you should incorporate ground tofu in your spaghetti sauce or in a chili (half and half with ground beef to start) or in the shepperd pie, that's the best way to do it.
You and your dh had probably taste tofu without knowing it. You find a lot of Asiatic (Chinese, Japanese ...) meals made with tofu, specially those with sauce and vegetables. When cut in small cubes, it looks like chicken but you can't see any fiber, the texture is about . I've just made a tofu schezuan last night, I took a chicken schezuan recipe on Beckie's website and replace the chicken by tofu. Really good.
