Lauri, I love your dgd's name. Both my daughters and 2 of my dgd's have unusual names, the boys don't though, I've been asked how that happened, don't know, just the way it is. LOL Can't wait to see that photo of the new dgd. Hope things aren't too crazy at work this week for you.
Connie, glad you got some good deals at the yard sales. I was reading in today's Parade mag insert about the "Longest Yard Sale" and showed it to dh. He loves yard/garage sales and swap meets to look for older Hot Wheels. Glad you got rid of some stuff by putting free signs on it too.
Mish, I hope your daughter has a good time at camp, what kind of camp is it? Are your kids out of school yet? Ours ended Friday.
Lisa, glad you were treated to Wendy's, I like the spicy chicken sandwich but haven't been there in ages. Nice of you to help out at the famine.
LoriMae, my dh loves tamale pie, they used to have a version at Costco he loved and they quit carrying it. I haven't made him a homemade one in awhile, better do that soon.
Kathy, I bought a new comforter/sheet set today at Target so I need to get linens on the line also. Hope you have a easy work week. Glad you are enjoying your job.
Cau, good job on showing your dd about the frugal meals and all those different flavors.
Roberta, good job passing up the grocery store this week. I did better in May than I have in months, hope to keep that up. Less trips to the store is helping me. Now to keep me out of those restaurants.
Anna, I'm glad you got to go see your neice and nephew and your sister and other niece and nephew also. We stopped by and saw dd1 and her kids on the way home from the city today. Dsil was at work.
Norma, sounds like you did good with your shopping. I'm not a big fans of beans, well I do like refried beans at the mexican restaurant. I made some pinto beans in the crock pot with pork roast this week, dh loved it but I thought it was kind of blah even though I put spices in.
My frugal for today was unplanned. We had gone to the city so dh could help his oldest daughter buy a car and since it's financed it had to be added to our insurance (she will pay the premium and car payment). Well when I got home and called the insurance and got it all set, the agent was asking me about the vehicle I drive and if I still drive xx miles to and from work each day and I said no, I no longer worked and drive much less. It made our insurance premium go down. Now I should have known that and called and changed it a year and half ago when I quit. Since I didn't I wasted over $200 but now we'll be saving.
